The floors/trim of the home were made from reclaimed wood from an old Amish barn nearby! The property is surrounded by many Amish/Mennonite families so it is quite unique to see a horse-drawn carriage on the roadways. This cabin is located far enough out to have peace & quiet but still only 15 minutes to the city(Wal-Mart, coffee, restaurants, etc)

Rough River Lake Area, Cozy, peaceful apartment, in a Christian community, in McDaniel's, KY. Near Rough River State Park. Campgrounds nearby, 60 minutes to Mammoth Cave National Park. Lake beaches nearby. 45 minutes from Glendale. There is not room for boats or trailers, only for two vehicles per apartment. NOTE: The Army Core of Engineers reduces the lake during the winter months (i.e. October-March) and the water levels are much lower than seen in the pictures. You will still be able to access the water but the water will not be up to tree line.
