The real secret of this place is to slow down, relax, take some deep breaths, and let the magic of the wine country just seep into your bones. We’re locals, and love to share our secret spots, favorite places to enjoy a glass of wine, a picnic lunch, or a very special meal.

Make your Napa Valley wine country stay at Old World Inn's Cabernet and Merlot House, located in the heart of downtown Napa and the Napa Valley.

The space
Wrapped in terra cotta shades of Venetian Plaster, this cozy room is a favorite for many of our guests. Read for a bit in the queen luxury bed, or enjoy a relaxing bath in an antique clawfoot tub. Snuggle together and watch a movie, then drift off to sleep in front of the flickering fire.
Our check-in time begins at 3:00-6:00 PM, if you will be arriving late, please let us know so we can send you our super easy seld check-in procedures.

*A valid Credit Card and Picture ID matching the credit card is needed at the time of check-in.

Guest access
We have a lounge area in the house, so feel free to relax. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Our front porch is also open for all guests if needed to get some fresh air and have a quiet time with friends and family. In the back patio, there are some sitting area, we can light up the fire pits where you can chill, relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

We apologized but due to COVID we suspended our breakfast and wine reception.

Top Five things we can't live without:

1. People. We love to meet new folks, and share our little corner of the world with them. We're happy to share anything we know, if we can-- our favorite places to eat, hike, bike, taste wine, or just go for a relaxing spa day. It's all good!

2. Great food. We are foodies, plain and simple. From street food (Napa has incredible food trucks) to dinner at Morimoto or The French Laundry, we love it all. And we love to share this with folks who stay with us. Each week brings new surprises in this culinary city.

3. Great weather. We love sunshine, and Napa has a lot of it. It pretty much doesn't rain at all from May all the way through the beginning November. We have hot, sunny days (70s-90s mostly), but it's DRY heat, so much easier to enjoy the outdoors without feeling like you're in a steamy jungle. Since we're so close to the San Francisco Bay, we get cool breezes most every night, even during the hottest days. And *that* is when we get high humidity-- at night, when it's cool! Makes for amazing sleeping weather. Mmmmmmm..... : )

4. Relax. We love to sit back and relax, enjoying the great weather, food, and people. Put them all together and you have a perfect combination.

5.. Enjoy the Ride. We love to say: Life is a Journey, not a Destination. We are all about enjoying life, and we love to share this with you.
