Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-machi, which is blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture. Nearby are the natural wonders of the Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi. You are free to use the entire property, including the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden with its seasonal scenery, and the forest with its flowing stream.In the forest, which has been well maintained, you can see birds, squirrels and martens, and you can enjoy walks looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We have also paid close attention to the interior design of the rooms and the kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy 'living'. In the gazebo by the stream, you can enjoy a BBQ or a bonfire without worrying about the weather. It's ideal as a base for hiking, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding and golf during the green season, and for winter sports during the snow season. This accommodation is a private resort called "Private Resort Fuji", located in a villa area 11 minutes on foot from Lake Yamanaka, which was renovated by a designer in July 2024. A modern Japanese design house with a floor area of 115㎡, based on a 3LDK log house, When you go up to the second floor, you can see the large Mt. Fuji from the living room window, have a BBQ on the large balcony with Mt. Fuji in the background, and after enjoying the barrel sauna surrounded by trees, you can take a forest bath in the outdoor rest space. There is a large fire pit in the garden, and you can talk around the fire. Also, there is a high fence in the garden, so you don't have to worry about your dog running away if you bring it with you. The room has a large 90-inch screen where you can enjoy Prime Video, Youtube, etc. At night, you can see a sky full of stars if the conditions are right.

After procuring fresh ingredients locally, move to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and go up the stairs to bring the ingredients to the hearth space. You won't see any other people. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. Only a 5 min walk from the Hirano highway bus terminal to connect “Busta Shinjuku” / Tokyo Sta. Tourists in the most walkable neighborhoods of Hirano ward will find a car isn't necessary to get around.
