Steep stair to upper floor. Smoking or pets are not allowed. During the coldest season, we would prefer to have your request 48 hours before arrival so we have time to raise the temperature in the cabin.

The surroundings consist of berry and mushroom forests with beautiful walking trails. In summer, you can take a trip on the rowing boat or enjoy the evening sun on the terrace. The cottage is only 15 minutes from Falun and 45 minutes from Romme Alpin.

Canoe, kayak and rowboat are available. The jetty is shared with the host who lives in the house next door. In winter, a plowed skating rink is outside the door. No pets.

Welcome to Grindstugan in Högbo. This small, newly-renovated house is located in the countryside just under 2 km south of Högbo Bruk in Sandviken. In Högbo, there is a plethora of different activities such as cross-country skiing, paddle tracks, MTB, canoeing, swimming, coffee and restaurant. The center of Sandviken is less than 5 km away. Here you will find shopping, grocery stores, the popular adventure pool Parkbadet, Göransson arena and several restaurants. Grindstugan is also only a 30-minute drive from Kungsberget ski resort.

There is also a travel baby bed and a high chair for the very youngest guests. The apartment has a kitchenette and a bathroom with toilet and shower. There is a private fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, TV and WiFi. In the bathroom, there is access to shampoo, shower soap, hand towels and bath towels. The timber house is in Ottsjö Jämtland and was saved from being torn down when it was moved here. The interior design is unique with Swedish historical furniture and objects.
