Sharp's Island

1-of-a-kind only begins to describe 1-acre Sharp's Island! This is the only legal camping option in Richmond. This is your private island, and it's in the heart of downtown RVA! You can motor to the island from Ancarrow's Landing or canoe over from the trail just below Mayo Bridge (we can rent you a canoe). There are SO MANY great swimming holes along the banks. Choose your own campsite: sandy beach or wood platform. As of 2024, there is a sweet cabin, outdoor bar and propane grill station.
