Pay for a monthly stay

If you book a monthly stay (28 nights or more), you’ll be charged a first month payment and then you’ll pay the rest in monthly instalments.

How payments work for a monthly stay

If you want to book a place for 28 nights or more, here’s how payments work:

  • First month payment: You’ll be charged this up front, but we won’t release it to the host until 24 hours after check-in
  • Monthly instalments: For reservations longer than a month, we will charge you 10 days in advance for each payment period after the first payment

Your price is locked in at the beginning of the reservation. You can track your payment details in Trips, or from your confirmation email.

To find out when a payment is due:

To check upcoming payments on desktop

  1. Click Trips and select the reservation you want to check
  2. Under Reservation details, click Payment info
  3. Click Get receipts and manage payments
  4. Under Upcoming, you’ll find your scheduled payment date and amount

Pay with your bank account to save extra money

If you’re based in the US, you can save even more money when you pay with your bank account for eligible reservations of 28 nights or more.

Long-term cancellation policy for monthly stays

The long-term cancellation policy is automatically applied to all reservations of 28 nights or more and generally requires a 30-day notice of changes to the reservation.

Pay monthly instalments early

While it’s not required, you always have the option to pay upcoming monthly instalments a little early, as long as it’s within 7 days before your payment is due.

For example, if your payment is due on 11 July, you’ll be able to pay as early as 4 July at 12am UTC.
