The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. Enjoy the comfort of a wood fire and split system, fully equiped kitchen, and expansive views from the open plan living area. Wonderfully private and secluded considering its convenient central location, and featuring all modern appliances. Cottage by the Lake

Set on 50 acres of farmland, this unique property boasts 2 large lakes with row boats - kayaks and beautiful gardens, abundance of wildlife and a serene and peaceful ambience. Your hosts, Ann & Kevin live in the main house, about 100 metres from the lake-side cottage and are available if needed, or can be very discreet. You have free access to all of the property, with lovely walks and farm animals to interact with. The property is 5 min from Hanging Rock and 15 mins from Kyneton, and Woodend.

Lauri's Cottage - Secluded & Pet Friendly

Set on 5 acres of mainly native bushland, our cottage is a real retreat from the urban rat race. The cottage is well equipped with everything to make your stay enjoyable. We have central hydronic heating but the 2 large open fireplaces are a real feature of the cottage. We are regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras and other native wildlife. Fur kids are entirely welcome and we have a secure area with a large kennel if you want to leave them while you explore the delights of Daylesford.
