Baseboard heat and pellet stove. Outside there is a wrap around deck, a gas grill, a fishing boat, canoe, 2 kayaks, and a fire pit. Supper clubs, grocery store, gas station, bowling alley, pub/restaurant only 3 miles away. Many trails, UTV, snowmobile, hiking near by. Snowmobiling trails are is top notch!

The kitchen is fully stocked and stores and restaurants are just a 5 minute drive. You will be surrounded by awe-inspiring wilderness and water, but our fast internet will keep you connected. Scenically situated on the grounds of the Discovery Center in a stand of pines overlooking Statehouse Lake, this beautiful home is the perfect Northwoods getaway! Just a short walk out the front door, you'll find a private dock that gives you access to Statehouse Lake, kayaks and canoes available for you to use, and easy walking access to Rest Lake. Explore the Discovery Center's 12-mile trail system or go fishing. Access to the snowmobile trail is available via the Discovery Center driveway.

We are located one block from the snowmobile/atv trail, a few blocks from gas stations, local bars (including the famous "Stubbs museum bar") and restaurants, an ice cream/sandwich/coffee shop, the library, small parks, a private tattoo parlor and the museum. Within walking distance from beach access to Lake Superior. A short 15 min drive to the Porcupine Mountains, this apartment makes a great base camp for a weekend of skiing!
