The house is in walking distance near a number of small hiking trails and a short-driving distance to a number of more advanced trails, like Mount Major. The house is located 2.5 miles from Gunstock Mountain Resort with a number of family activities, 8 miles from Weirs Beach in Laconia and 13 miles from Meredith; all with a number of restaurants and fun family activities, including the ice castles.

Upstairs has a master bedroom with a queen and a bathroom with tub and shower. There are two other bedrooms, one with a twin, the other with a full. Sharing bathroom. The basement room has a queen bed and a king sofa pullout in the entertainment room. Another full bath is here. The first floor study has a full sofa bed. Spacious 2nd floor apartment with private entrance, full kitchen, living room and screened in porch in quiet, safe neighborhood, 3 blocks from downtown shops and restaurants, and one block to Lake Winnisquam. More space is available to accommodate up to 4 guests occupying the entire 2nd floor which would add a bedroom with a double bed and a large room with a pull out sofa. There is a $15.00 charge per night for each extra guest.

The Lakes Region Log Cabin is located near Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Winnisquam, Gunstock Mountain, Tanger shopping outlets, NH Bank Pavilion and more, for fun in every season! Relax at the house or enjoy one of the many activities in the Lakes Region.
