The forest and two natural swimming lakes are less than 10 minutes' walk away, where you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking and swimming. Since the cottage is on a cozy campsite (De Lente van Drenthe), there are many amenities just around the corner.

To relax, there is a 3-person massage Jacuzzi under the veranda. The deposit for our house is €250. The area is ideal for peace seekers, hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers. In our beautiful fenced private garden, you will enjoy the many bird species.

Hoeve Hunzedal is situated near many nature reserves, such as the Hunzedal, the Drentse Aa, and the Hondsrug (UNESCO), making it the perfect base for wonderful walking and cycling tours (free bicycle storage available). The accommodation features a private entrance, garden and parking space. The kitchen is fully equipped. Our guest house is located in a beautiful spot on the Hondsrug. Here you are surrounded by nature: ancient woods, sandy paths, rolling fields, squirrels, deer and a wide variety of birds. Within walking distance of the cozy Gieten with delicious fresh bread or a Gieterkoek at the bakery. Here you will find the supermarket and nice restaurants. By bike, you can reach the Drenthe state forests with the beautiful Gasselterveld, Boomkroonpad and centuries-old dolmens.

Berend Bedje in Zuidlaren

Berend Bedje is a cosy, detached B&B in Zuidlaren, a nice place to relax – after a walk, bike ride, a relaxing weekend, a visit or even a week. The cottage (34 m²) is attractively furnished and suitable for 2–4 people (sofa bed). The cottage has an outdoor seating area at the front. Walk the Pieterpad in 9 minutes or explore De Drentsche Aa National Park. The centre of Groningen can be reached in 19 minutes. Breakfast can be booked for €17.50 p.p. Welcome!

Stadskanaal is located on the outskirts of Drenthe and Westerwolde. From here, you can reach the city of Groningen or Assen within 45 minutes by car. Leer or Oldenburg in Germany is also within reasonable reach. From Stadskanaal, there are beautiful cycling routes in Drenthe or Westerwolde. The fortified town of Bourtange is of course also worth a visit. Stadskanaal has restaurants, supermarkets, etc.
