Garnethill is a great place to be, an interesting, historic and eclectic neighbourhood, conveniently situation in between the city centre and the West End. Only 10-15 mins walk to Glasgow's main train and bus stations. This is a charming and well proportioned, one-bedroom townhouse apartment located within the impressive, old Garnethill School building, formerly the Glasgow High School for Girls between 1899 and 1968. The school was converted into residential apartments circa 1998, centring around a private courtyard and car park. The apartment is part of a larger property, is self contained, and guests will have their own entrance to the apartment. The apartment is unique and quirky in style covering three levels. The apartment comprises a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The sofa in the living room doubles up as a sofa bed (bedding for this is available, please advise if required). The apartment is south facing with large windows giving it a bright and airy feel. Gas central heating is in all rooms and super fast speed WiFi is available throughout all levels of the property (the WiFi was upgraded on 23rd October 2019 following some feedback from previous guests who had advised poor connectivity). Private parking is available within a secure residential car park and a fob for access is attached with the keys to the apartment. No smoking or pets allowed. In the area you can visit the Tenement House, Willow Tea Rooms, Glasgow Film Theatre, Glasgow School of Art, Centre for Contemporary Arts, Kings Theatre, Piping Centre plus lots of great cafes, restaurants and bars. Sauchiehall Street is a couple of streets away for shopping and amenities and it is only 10 mins along to Buchanan Street. Walking distance: 20 mins to Central Station, 15 mins to Queen Street Station, 10 mins to Buchanan Bus Station, 5 mins to Cowcaddens Underground Station, 2 mins to local buses on Sauchiehall Street, 5 mins from Charing Cross Station. There is a lowered ceiling at the bath area which restricts ability to stand upright depending on your height. There is a shower attachment for use if desired.
