El pajar (the barn) de Casa del río is an independent one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom, kitchen and living room, built on a first floor. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook your own meals. The apartment is basic and minimalist, but it’s also very comfortable and has everything you need for a enjoyable stay. The whole apartment has views to the valley. You can also use two shared terraces with views to the valley and the big garden. Please be aware that the apartments do not have washing machine, TV or microwave/oven. If you can’t live without those, this may not be the perfect place for your stay. Phone signal and wifi work perfectly and are quite reliable. Casa del río is the perfect way to scape the noise and experience first-hand living a simple and sustainable life in an Asturias village off the beaten track. The property is ideal for people who want to be away from the noise and crowds, as it is quite isolated and the village of Xio has no services at all. Closest services are a bar/restaurant/swimming pool 10min by car, and shops, supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, petrol station, etc…20min by car.

It features two double bedrooms with comfortable beds and individual air conditioning—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and utensils. The bathroom is modern, with a large shower and towels provided for your comfort. Located on the fourth floor (no elevator), the apartment offers direct access to a large outdoor terrace, perfect for sunbathing, reading, or enjoying panoramic views of the town. Although we don’t have private parking, free street parking is usually available right outside. If needed, you can also park for free near the port, just a 2 to 5-minute walk away. The apartment is located in the heart of the town, with supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a laundrette, and other services just two minutes on foot.

Crossing the gate that limits the urbanization you will be in the middle of the pine forest and a walk of only 2 minutes will take you to beaches and virgin coves of blue and crystalline waters.

We are a small family, mainly dedicated to the countryside, and in addition to the house in which we live we have a 16th century PAZO in the process of being renovated. We're taking it one step at a time, and we're currently renting the one we're presenting here. We adapt to guests and offer a quiet rural setting, with the possibility of getting to know our family farm. We're getting started with this vacation rental and we're finding out that we love it!
