Old Water Mill

Old water mill, built in 1850. Many of the original features of the mill have been left & been used to create a place of charm & character. Situated on a twelve acre lake, within a listed & protected zone by Natura 2000. You can eat your breakfast on the terrace next to the lake, in a very beautiful & tranquil setting. The only noise here comes from the birds, wildlife & the sheep in the surrounding fields. Owner lives on site in adjacent farm house. Many local bars & excellent restaurants.

L’Ancienne Gendarmerie is a beautiful restored police station in the heart of Pressac village. On the square opposite the church, with countryside views across the pretty river Clain and its medieval bridge, the house combines a sense of history with modern convenience and plenty of space. Ideal for families or groups of friends with a games room and a pool, there is plenty to do, and it is also a great base to explore the Vienne and Charente. Villa Lierre is 5 mins from a large supermarket at L’Isle Jourdain. The Circuit du Val de Vienne is 15 minutes away by car. There are historic towns to explore nearby, and the river Vienne is a short walk through the village.

Our house is on the verge of the countryside, at a 2-minute walk from the quaint market-town of Confolens. You can walk to the shops, the market, or the cinema, or hike along the two rivers or on the neighbouring hill-tops. Plenty to do in Confolens: you can swim, rail-bike, canoe, attend our music festival or discover Charente limousine. If you like old houses, you'll enjoy our home with its spacious rooms. It is a family house, fitted for young children. The garden is fenced and shady.
