Dresden/Leipzig is also just around the corner. Falkenberg is very accessible by RE. It is also an attractive tour (XXX/KR) by bicycle, e.g. via the Elberadweg. There is a beautiful countryside here with good bike paths, lakes and the black magpies; in short: pure nature.
