The property is on 25 acres of land with a mixture of lush Huon Valley pasture and meandering forest through which a small creek flows into the Huon River. Appledore is a working farm you can explore at your leisure. Pull an apple from the tree and feed the cows if you wish or cuddle a lamb (if you can catch one)

The Picker's Hut- Luxury Vineyard stay

The Picker's Hut is a luxury vineyard escape located in Broadmarsh (40 minutes from Hobart). Originally built to house and train soldiers before World War Two, this historic hut has found its new home on a working vineyard, Invercarron. The north-facing location captures the beautiful all-day sun. You can sit at the breakfast bar and admire the vines, or you can perch on the deck, observing the landscape of the valley and see if you can spot the farm workers herding sheep or plowing paddocks.

With incredible character the cottage has been tastefully turned into a cozy place for a restful stay. May Cottage is a comfortable, cosy cottage nestled in beautiful Mountain River in the Huon Valley, with stunning views of Sleeping Beauty. The cottage is on a 2 acre family property, with easy access and ample parking. Although situated 50m away, the main house is well out of sight. The cottage features a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and sunny verandahs. The cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests (see description below) 12 minutes to Huonville 30 minutes to Hobart

On farm produce available in season in an area of growing culinary endeavour.
