200 year old cottage nestled in a white-washed courtyard, lovingly restored and brought to life. All the modern comforts integrated between stone walls and rustic beams in a beautiful rural setting. Located half a mile from Tollymore Forest and by car we are 5 mins from Mourne Mountains, 5 mins from Newcastle and 5 mins from Castlewellan. The cottage is in the midst of our working horse farm, horses, chickens, dogs and donkeys are all part of the family. Dogs and horses are welcome guests.

Unwind in the hot tub soaking in the dramatic view of the Mourne Mountains. Inside, relax in front of a cosy wood burning stove. Lively Newcastle town, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is less than 5 minutes drive away. Other attractions close by are Murlough Beach, Castlewellan forest Park & many walking, hiking & cycling trails.

The cosy cottage provides perfect accommodation for up to 4 people. You can enjoy the spa pool, sauna, and paddle boards whilst experiencing breath-taking views. Sitting on the shores of the Irish Sea, Keeper’s Cottage provides a comfortable base from which to walk, beachcomb, birdwatch and explore. Close to the villages of Portaferry, Cloughey and Strangford, the area is rich in wildlife and heritage. Or just relax by the fire and soak up the magic of this unique place. Our other cottage, which is immediately adjacent, sleeps 4 and people often rent the two properties together for larger groups.
