Orig. from Germany, we love our little paradise on Ruth Lake and would like to share it with you. We live on the same property, there is enough room to respect each other's privacy. You are welcome to the gifts of nature and the use of kayak, canoe, fishing boat( licen.) bicycles. We are very well travelled and know exactly how nice it is to find a welcoming home away from home. Birken House Bakery

Birken House is located above a home based bakery in the grounds of a 110-year old farmhouse, and is rumoured to be the location of an original stagecoach stop on the Douglas Trail. The suite is south facing, with tasteful decor and big folding doors opening on to an awesome view . It's rustic but contemporary; airy in summer and cosy in winter. It’s 30 minutes north of Pemberton, and is a great base from which to explore Birkenhead Provincial Park, Gates and Anderson Lakes

The Honey House

Originally built on the property of Lillooet's historic apiary, Golden Cariboo Honey, this home is made and managed by the beekeeping family that has been making honey in the region since the 1950s. The Honey House is tucked away on the mountainside surrounded by forest, close enough to hear the creek, and still less than ten minutes outside of town. There is a beautiful view of the valley from the kitchen, and we highly suggest you make use of the 6ft clawfoot bathtub!
