A short walk away from the best beach in Dorset, Seatown and Golden Cap are ten minutes away by foot. Dogs are welcome in the cottage and at the local pubs. Wood burner for winter, garden for the summer and 2 parking spaces at the front. Due to the convenient position of the cottage (in the centre of a popular village) it is possible to walk or take the bus to most of the local amenities. However, the road to the side of the cottage is a busy A road and can be noisy and hard to cross.
“What a gorgeous home and location! We loved everything about Pound Cottage. It's the perfect cottage, lovingly decorated. We ate and made friends across the street at The George at night and walked to Golden Cap and Seatown in the day. We even had a fire in the burner, so cosy! Thank you for contributing some lifelong memories for our trip. Hope to return, fingers crossed.”
The studio provides great value, modern holiday accommodation. It has a wonderful hillside private garden with spectacular far reaching views & sunsets over Charmouth and Lyme Regis. It is perfect for anyone who loves walking & exploring the natural beauty of West Dorset, Devon, Somerset & the Jurassic Coast. Though quiet and tucked away there is easy access to the A35 and transport links. It is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, young families & dog's are very welcome.
“This is a super studio, the kind of secret hideaway one would selfishly wish to keep to oneself! Presented as described, it was spotlessly clean and well-appointed upon arrival, the cotton bedding and mattress topper proving a particular treat. Louise welcomed us and made sure we were well-acquainted with the facilities, the immediate locality and wider areas, all of which were super. Our stay was relaxed and, despite being on the same site as the owners, private. Thank you, Louise, we'd love to return, please.”
The Cabin is privately located in Seatown a small hamlet under Golden Cap, the highest cliff on the south coast and next to the SW Coast Path, 200m from the sea and world heritage Jurassic Coast. The Cabin is has everything you will need including a spare camp bed and bbq. View Lyme bay, sunset and sea while dinning or just with a drink, in the Anchor inn beer garden on the cliff. Dogs welcome.
“Lovely little bolthole with everything you need for a cosy stay. The cabin is very privately set on the edge of a wooded area and close to the sea which is just a walk down the lane. There’s a great pub on the beach front and the village of Seatown is an unspoilt haven and perfect for cliff walking and exploring delightful Dorset. Humphrey was very helpful and gave me some good recommendations for coastal excursions x I thoroughly enjoyed my stay x”
