Close to the city. Surrounded by nature. "The mud cabin is the star attraction and the suite a balancing comfort, all in the midst of beautiful nature! An opportunity for the uninitiated to experience sustainable and eco-conscious living, and yet still within reach of modern amenities when you need anything. Love it!" August 2019 Review
“If you want peace and quiet and stunning bush surroundings, this is the place. The lovely hosts have done an incredible job with the design. The clay brick hut is great for a nice fire in winter, reading a book or making a puzzle. Quality BBQ and everything else you need to create some amazing meals. After dinner just retire to the modern and well appointed study. A great combo of spaces. The girls provide plenty of simple but effective touches, like fresh eggs and mushrooms, a herb garden outside the door, and even some food for the 'pet' magpie! Far enough away for some chill out time, but a stones throw from wineries, Blackwood town centre (10 mins), and even a nice golf course just up the road. I spent 3 days just riding through the amazing Adelaide hills on my motorcycle, and on a sunny Autumn day there may not be many better places in Australia. Great place, great hosts, great times. Thanks again!”
My home in beautiful Hawthorndene can be your home too! Located in the Adelaide Hills, we are a short walk from Blackwood Rail Station, which can take you directly to the city centre after winding it's way through the hills. With a modern cafe next door, as well as an Oval, Tennis courts, Parks, Playground, Lovely Nature, the occasional Koala and Belair National Park just around the corner, you will love this place. Parking space as well in one of the safest suburbs in Adelaide.
“Our second stay at Richie's place Was as great as the first one. The place is tidy and there are many things to do arround the house for example table Tennis, Pool, table soccer, watching a DVD and so on. The railway Station to the City is a 10 Minute Walk away. All the Shops, like coles, banks and so on is 15 minutes walking away. Theres also a pretty national park pretty close. Spotted some koalas in the area. Richie is a respectfull, friendly and funny guy. We really enjoyed our stay and would really recommend his place. 👍”
Get back to nature only 25 minutes from the Adelaide CBD! Be surrounded by native flora & fauna in your own fully functional tiny house. Set on the edge of a natural spring that runs into the Sturt River, this is the ideal spot for all nature lovers or those looking for that extra comfort from traditional camping.
“What an absolutely perfect slice of nature hidden away in the Adelaide Hills! It was so lovely to relax next to the fire outside and unwind. Tim was a fantastic host. Couldn't fault anything at all - the house was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully decorated. Will definitely be coming back for a few nights next time! Thanks so much Tim!”
