The Annex is just outside Alresford in a small rural hamlet popular with walkers and cyclists. Surrounded by lovely views and steeped in history and 5min trip to the lovely old town of Alresford where there are great restaurants, cozy pubs and a good selection of interesting shops, delis and takeaways ...it is beautiful all times of the year. Long barn lavender, the historic globe inn on the lake and the famous Watercress line station are all great to visit in Alresford. Winchester is 15 min
“What a delightful find. This little annexe was just perfect for our weekend away. On a cold blustery day of arrival, the pre lit log burner by Debbie was such a welcome sight. Some nice touches left for us in the fridge too. Very comfortable bed and living space for relaxing during our cosy evenings with a bottle of wine. Debbie is a wonderful friendly host with good communication. We’ll definitely be back.”
A stylish converted barn set in the grounds of a Georgian Lodge within the South Downs National Park. Conveniently located close to the picturesque market towns of Alresford, Petersfield, Alton and historic Winchester, it is an ideal base to both explore Hampshire and kick back and relax in luxury.
“The barn is a beautiful place to stay for a couple of nights or more. It’s really well fitted out with lovely little touches like Sonos speakers and neal’s yard toiletries as well as ‘dimmer’ lights and a big bath tub. The bed is much bigger than your average double and one of the comfiest mattresses I’ve ever slept on. But what really makes it is the location, nestled in beautiful countryside and oh so peaceful. Emma and Sam are great hosts, too, particularly enjoyed the offer of breakfast and dinner, which were both lovely. Thanks so much for having us, we’d definitely return.”
Light, spacious bedroom, tastefully decorated. Cupboard with hanging space and shelves. Bedside cupboard for storage. An antique comfy chair. Comfortable double bed. Opposite the bathroom, but private as it’s set towards the back of the house.
“Marlene and Kevin's place is what every airBnB experience should aspire to be. They were the perfect hosts- genuine, warm hearted people with a great enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. Rarely have I felt so warmly welcomed. Marlene was very quick to communicate during and in the leadup to our stay, arranging to meet up in town and being flexible about checkin/out. Their home is a gorgeous period cottage filled with nice touches like fresh flowers and a chocolate on the pillow - thank you Marlene! If you are lucky enough to try Kevins amazing breakfast with tomoto gravey you won't be disappointed. Kamber the dog added an adorable friendly (and hairy!) element to our stay, helping us to feel right at home. Thank you all for making us feel like part of the family. We hope to come back one day! Much love, Cat and Matt xxx”
