Nestled on 193-acre Stonewall Farm, backed by woods and boasting carved walking trails, the Wine House offers a chance to spend the weekend cozying around a fire (inside or out), enjoying the privet maze modeled after Hampton Court, or spending time with the many animals who call the farm home. Bring your pole to fish of the pond’s dock or take the canoe out for a float. Access to the Rail Trail is moments away and on-premises mountain bikes mean you can ride along Decker’s Creek to Morgantown.
“We had to cancel a trip to Europe but still had the time off from work. We stayed at Bill's place for a week and it was the perfect social distancing vacation. We found quite a bit to do, including a visit to the WV Botanic Garden in Morgantown and the Arthurdale New Deal Homestead Museum one town over which recently reopened. We brought most of our food and cooked and also enjoyed a few meals on restaurant patios in Morgantown. We had a fire pit two nights. We took advantage of the rail/bike trail bike network and biked every other day. It will be hard to find more hospitality. Bill dropped off homemade desserts every couple of days and checked in on us to see if we needed anything. The house is larger than it looked in photos. The hedge maze is super fun. It's a magical spot.”

“Carol and Larry offer a super clean and really cozy affordable place. Me and my dog passed through and really enjoyed exploring their gorgeous property, trails and a lake a short walk away. Terra Alta is a sleepy little town but with great pizza and a couple brewerys it’s everything you’d want in a getaway.”

“If you want the perfect Airbnb, this is it! Joyce is a wonderful host and offers a peaceful, beautiful space with million dollar views! This suite has a well equipped kitchen, including pots and pans, dishes and silverware, storage containers, gas stove, even olive oil! The bathroom is spa-like with a fabulous shower and plenty of towels, body wash, and shampoo and conditioner. Joyce has thought of everything to make your stay a luxurious, comfortable experience! All the extras make the guest feel special! The property is located close to Coopers Rock State Forest, so is a natural choice if that is your destination. I highly recommend this Airbnb and if you like watching birds or a gorgeous sunrise, this is the place for you! We even made a new friend, Cooper, one of their dogs, that walked with us throughout their 40 acres! Oh, and the price is definitely right, too!”
