Gorgeous country retreat between Burlington and Middlebury. A "dimensionally transcendental" space (per Dr. Who: bigger on the inside ;o) built as an artist's studio, located in a meadow bordered by woods and a wide creek on 22 acres, magical in all seasons. When you arrive you might think you're at the wrong house, as the exterior keeps its secrets. When you walk in, the soaring cathedral ceiling and back walls of windows frame a unique space: artistic, rustic, beautiful, and very comfy.
“Really cute and cozy cabin, was a perfect getaway space. Kitchen has basic things needed for cooking, but not very good lighting for cooking in the evening. We were able to take a short walk behind the cabin which was very pleasant. It's at least a 15-20 minute drive to get anywhere, but the scenery of the drive is beautiful.”

“Lara is a kind, considerate host. She managed to be present for us while being discrete at the same time. She was generous of her time when we needed her. She knows Vermont well, she is passionate about it and her recommendations for things to do were precious. The house itself is warm and cozy. We felt at home and enjoyed reading or having coffee in the common space. We wanted a vacation. We needed a break for the craziness and it is exactly what we got. The house is calm and quiet and surrounded by woods. At the same time, there are tons of things to do and see within 10 to 30 minutes drives. If we come back to this area, we don't see any reason to stay anywhere else.”
"This place, hospitality, and attention to detail is very atypical of 99.9% of our Airbnb experiences" We carefully disassembled our old carriage barn, placed the historic frame and woodwork on a new foundation, and surrounded it with a modern, comfortable and energy efficient shell. The result was this lovely in-law style apartment. This truly unique archetecture, combined with our fully stocked kitchen, period furniture, and amenities will ensure a truly unique stay.
“The space was wonderfully cozy! The host were very friendly and went out of their way to add special touches and make sure we were happy. The owner's office is right next door in the other half of the barn, with poor sound separation... so if you are looking for complete privacy, this might not be quite the spot.”
