The flat is situated in the rural crofting settlement of Big Sand around 4.5 miles from the village of Gairloch. The flat is a basement flat and is part of our 3 storey family home. It has just been completely refurbished and now has a fully equiped modern kitchen, kingsized bedroom, shower room and spacious living room with an eating area. The flat can be accessed through the owners main door, however guests have the whole lower floor to themselves. Please note there is no view from the flat.
“We had a lovely stay at Lorna's. The flat was very clean and cozy -way bigger than what we expected- with a super comfy bed. It is located near a beautiful beach; the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Lorna is very kind and helpful, she took the time to show us around and chat a little. We also loved the family's pets -Baxter is such a sweetheart :) Anyway, can't recommend Lorna's place enough; we'll be really pleased to come back next time we visit Scotland!!”
Seacroft is an attractive, 1 bedroomed, comfy, semi detached, self catering cottage for two people in the peaceful crofting township of Melvaig, 9 miles NW of Gairloch with seaviews over to Skye and the Western Isles and just off the NC500. This is a perfect base for relaxing. It's a few minutes to the shore and 30 mins walk along to peaceful beaches. There's a jetty nearby which you can drive down to safely and you can take your own kayaks there too.
“Excellent value for money. Steven was brilliant with communication and giving recommendations for what to do in the area. Comfy beds and sofa, gorgeous views, NowTV for when the weather was inclement and plenty of heaters for colder nights. Kitchen was great with everything you needed for cooking. Really glad I picked this place for my 30th, loved the remote feeling it had about it, I miss it all already. Thanks again.”
CN.C. 500. Route. We sit above the harbour, with beautiful views out over the 9 hole golf course looking over the sea to the Western Isles and Skye. Hopefully you'll see one of our stunning sunsets, and if you're up early you'll see the deer grazing the course rough.
“We had a nice one night stay. The check in was friendly. We were able to select what we wanted for breakfast from a menu the evening before and Susan bought it to our room in the morning - it was delicious. The bathroom is a very creative use of space and is therefore rather small but it doesn’t affect the functionality at all.”
