The Logis de Saint Germain

A charming Logis de chasse (hunting lodge) dating from 1666, on the edge of the village of Saint German de Montbron, nestling in the beautiful Charente countryside. We have two very spacious bedrooms, a large salon, kitchen and bathroom. All is fully modernised. Access to the garden for outdoor dining, barbecue, all in a very pretty garden. Use of the owners above ground pool and 2 acres of garden. We also have a second gite, for two people, listed on Airbnb, making it ideal for larger groups.

We are a small independently run campsite nestled in the heart of the hamlet of Montmérac situated amidst vineyards, walnut groves, cornfields and sunflower fields. The village of Baignes is just 5km south or the market town of Barbezieux is just 8km away. We are about 10km from the national route N10 which is half an hour from Angouleme. Cognac Golf course is around 36km away and Hirondelle Golf Course is 42 km. The nearest airport is Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport, 90 km from the accommodation.

Nestled in a peaceful corner on the edge of Aubeterre, this beautifully converted shipping container is the ideal retreat to “get away from it all.” With shower room, kitchenette (with gas hob, fridge, combi microwave/oven and coffee making facilities) lounge and most importantly outdoor bath where you can lay and watch the stars with not a care in the world! The private garden offers a lovely outdoor seating area for you morning coffee or glass of wine while having a barbecue.

Hiking, golf, tennis, horse riding and cycling. 2 major bathing areas at the bicycle distance from the house. 2 minute walk to the local bakery and restaurants. The house offers a nice garden, several nice patios. Perfect for a family/group of 7-9.
