Charming separate living quarters, sharing a vine covered patio with a 90-year-old adobe home situated on scenic Highway 28. Located about 15 minutes south of Las Cruces, this quiet country getaway beckons you to stay awhile. Setting is rural.
“We had such a wonderful stay at this casita! We have been traveling across the country to our new home in San Diego and this spot was the perfect break in our trip. We have our dog with us too so it was great staying somewhere with a fenced in yard that he could play in. We were greeted by Jordan next door who was super friendly and gave us delicious fresh peaches straight off the tree. Candis was a great host as well and responded to all our questions and needs immediately. This place is the real deal and has a great vibe, if I could give more than 5 stars I would..!”
“After a long drive from NJ, this place was exactly what we needed. Located right off route I-10, super clean, and so much space for my family to enjoy for the night. Clean, easy access, parking, and had everything we needed for the stay. Thanks Beatriz. Will def keep this place in mind for our next visit.”
This apartment was designed by Contemporary Artist, Willie Ray Parish, and was the home of the Border Art Residency until this year. Although there is only a single Queen sized bed, this listing occupies the entire 2000 square feet of the top floor of a former cotton gin warehouse surrounded by a 2-acre Permaculture experiment. It is the private "Penthouse Apartment" amidst the multiple communal and shared spaces on the property. Creative touches everywhere you look. A truly unique experience.
“Truly, a hidden gem. After driving a grueling 17 hours of horrible wind gusts, blinding dust storms, heavy rain, and thunderstorms - opening the door Christopher’s place felt like sanctuary. Stylishly rustic and cozy - I had no problem settling in for night. My favorite part was that Christopher had left the lights and the AC on prior to my arrival. Also, I don’t know if it was him, but there were also drumsticks in the freezer and that was a huge plus (Christopher - you’re getting the credit for that). Everything was sparkling clean. The kitchen was packed with essential amenities (your French press was amazing). The bathroom is cozy. The bed was soooo comfortable - I was supposed to leave at 4am but... I ended up sleeping in until 6am because that bed knocked me out. I highly recommend staying here, at least to use the French press. Hospitality 11/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Awesomeness 10/10”
