Welcome to my home! Enjoy a large, clean, updated, comfortable and private suite with your own private entrance. Included is a queen bed, living area with a TV, full bathroom, desk and kitchenette with dining table. A scenic park with trails is across the street and just 3 miles to historic downtown Doylestown.
“Maureen, “Mo” provided a super clean and comfortable space from which to venture out or to stay put and relax. The Keurig coffee system and coffee pods and real cream in the fridge was a nice touch. Close to many biking and walking trails in New Britain and the Delaware Canal trails. Doylestown is just 5 miles away with an energetic downtown and cool restaurants. And a WONDERFUL independent bookstore - https://www.doylestownbookshop.com/ Peace Valley Park is 2-3 miles away with a 4 mile bike/walk path and lake for kayaking. The street out front will be very quiet for the near future as the quaint covered wooden bridge undergoes repairs. Watch for the detour signs to Keely Ave.”
A small private cottage with spiral staircase leading to the bedroom, bathroom and outdoor deck. The Cottage is set in a rural woodsy town surrounded by lots of history.
“My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights during Memorial Day Weekend 2020. We live in a big city and wanted to get away from it for a bit. We've been stuck in our small apartment for way too long, scared to go out because there are just too many people here. Jane and Brian's Cottage was the perfect escape. It has a charm to it. The decor of the place looks like it was uniquely picked out to give the cottage its character. From the mismatched shelf door handles, spiral staircase to the various framed pieces, the cottage is a work of art itself. The place is well maintained, cleaned and obviously loved by the owners. We didn't really interacted with Jane & Brian since it's the 'age of COVID' and we wanted to keep our distance. Glad they gave us our space as well as we wanted to get away from people for the weekend. The Cottage is tucked away in Chalfont-- so tucked away that you might actually miss it a few times when you're driving to it! Aside from an occasional car driving by along the road, you won't notice much road noise. It is very quiet but we did hear children playing across the street with their father on Sunday, which was actually kind of nice and sweet and we didn't mind at all. The location is a 5 minute drive to Walmart so it's very easy to buy groceries and to pick up anything you forgot to pack. Food is also very close by. The drive is breezy and there is hardly any traffic as it's quite tucked away. We didn't do much cooking but the kitchen is well stocked (I had a look into the shelves and cabinets). There are sufficient amount of pans, pots, plates, and utensils for a decent meal. Jane and Brian also stocked the fridge with a basket of pastries, fresh butter, jam, milk and orange juice (as indicated in the listing as a free continental breakfast). There are also 2 cold mugs in the freezer for your beer chugging needs! Clean towels, shampoo/conditioner and bar soap were also included. The smart TV is big and was great for bingeing shows when it's rainy outside. Overall, a lovely stay in a nice cottage with an outdoor space-- Thanks Jane & Brian!”
