A nineteenth century quirky Cornish miner's cottage in the heart of Cornwall with lots of original features. The cottage is on a quiet lane overlooking fields situated near the Bissoe trail. We've recently renovated the property throughout and this is our first season. There is an enclosed garden, sheltered courtyard and parking for 3 vehicles. The beach is a 10 minute drive away and there is excellent access to the north and south coasts.
“Such a lovely cottage in a peaceful location. Beautifully decorated with so many little extras to make it feel like a home from home and welcoming. Lots of useful info on places to visit, books and toys for our children to play with and the added bonus of some treats waiting for us on our arrival! We were blown away with Roger and Polly’s hospitality and this is by far the best holiday accommodation that we have had to date! We will definitely be returning in the future.”
Our mobile home is a 2018 model and is very nicely decorated. There is ample room for a family of four, with two loos and a shower. There is a fridge/freezer and gas cooker. The home is centrally heated and is double glazed. It is situated in our yard in a sun trap. It is a 10 minute drive to the beaches and also 10 minutes to the centre of Truro, which is a lovely city, lots of shops, cafes and quaint streets. An ideal getaway.
“Had a wonderful stay at Little Penstraze, the hosts were both very friendly, helpful and make us feel so welcome. Location was great, very quite and surrounded by nature. The home was clearn and was provided with all the facilities needed for our stay. Would reccomended this place to anyone visiting Cornwall. Will be back again!”
Ideal if you love cycling or walking, as the 'Hut' is situated in a peaceful 'Poldark' location of Poldice Valley with world heritage tin mines a short walk away. We are directly on the national cycle route, half way between Devoran and Portreath and very central. Where ever you go in Cornwall, we are only a short distance away. You can also catch a bus and enjoy taking in the Cornish scenery. The local village of St Day is only a 7 minute walk away and includes 2 general stores & 2 pubs.
“If you want a quite countryside retreat with a touch of quirky then don’t hesitate booking a stay here. Kris and Kaana are one of the nicest hosts my wife and I have met during our Airbnb stays. They go above and beyond just to make your stay as wonderful as possible, hosts like these are just as important to a stay as is the accommodation itself. We stayed in ‘The Hut’ it is a beautifully decorated living space for two people it’s perfect. You have to use the shower and toilet separate from the accommodation but this was never a problem and oh my word they are beautiful, very clean and as a person who always enjoys his own en-suite, I never thought twice about having to walk a few steps to the toilet and shower so don’t think of it as an issue. Staying here is a great place to visit and tour what Cornwall has to offer it’s close to so many wonderful places. As you can probably tell my wife and I loved it here and would definitely book here again. We can’t thank Kris and Kaana enough for making our anniversary a very special time. We can’t recommend this site enough.”
