Casa immersa nel verde a 10 minuti dal mare in Cersuta di Maratea.
“This is Sonia's family home, and so it's an apartment above/ attached to her mother's place. We didn't meet Sonia, as she works/lives away from the region, but her mom, Lucia/Lucy was there, and she's a really nice person and a generous host, who makes sure you have some bottled water and juice, snacks, butter, coffee supply etc. when you arrive -- a nice touch, and not something that most hosts think of! The kitchen is small but well equipped, and the rest of the place is super simple. It's not a place for lounging around inside, but rather a place from which to explore this beautiful region. You can indeed walk from the apartment to the sea, and while it's a long hike up in the hot sun, it's worth it for the beauty you'll find. Maratea is a short drive, about 6 km away, and has tons of restaurants and shops, an outdoor market on Saturday -- everything you could need. Restaurant near the apartment is walking distance and has fresh fish and other delicious dishes. Lucia has lots of beautiful flowering trees and vines in her garden, including a whole bunch of lemon trees, so you can have your daily spremuta! The house is close to other houses in the little hamlet, where everyone knows each other. It's a special place, with a rugged, wild, natural beauty that we will never forget. Thanks Sonia and Lucia! ~Jules”

Avrete a disposizione un bellissimo giardino (spazio in comune), parcheggio per la macchina e inoltre siamo a pochi minuti da alcune delle spiagge più belle del posto! “What a beautiful little town! Silvia wasn't there, but her father Roberto was there to greet us, and he was very friendly and helpful. The description of the apartment is true to form, and the place is clean and cool despite the heat outside. Insider tip: the only thing we found difficult was being there without a car. It wasn't that we had to walk uphill (it's on a mountain- hillside, yes, we knew that), it was that it was pretty scary having to walk on the curvy highway... If we had known that access without a car/scooter would be difficult, we would have rented a scooter somewhere nearby (you cannot rent one in Marina di Maratea, at least we couldn't find anywhere to rent one). With wheels, you could get groceries in the next town and stay a bit longer. Without wheels, you have to walk along the highway to get to either restaurant. But even all that was worth it! We had an incredible time – the beaches down below were amazing! Some of the best swimming I've had in years... We'd love to come back with a car and explore more of the area! It's truly beautiful!!”
