Take a walk on the wild side! This off-grid bamboo house sits on 6 acres of pristine beachfront in a small rainforest community surrounded by wildlife. If your dates aren't available here, see our other three houses: Casa Bambu, Casa Pina and Casa Sonrisa. They are on this same acerage property in Cabo Matapalo.
“Casa Linda is a special place in an amazing location. The open-air house sits right on the beach on the Osa Peninsula. Each morning you are greeted by the sun and the howler monkeys. The wildlife in the area is unlike anywhere else, both day and night. The house is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, large dining table, and porch facing the beach. The bedrooms are plenty large each with a closet. Two bathrooms are perfect for a family. We had plenty of room for our family of five. Several other beaches are short walks from the house, and you can see so many animals and plants just walking up and down the nearby roads. Be sure to book some guided tours with William. His knowledge of the area is amazing having grown up in the rain forest. Definitely take a day trip with William to Corcovado National Park! Kirk provided detailed information before our arrival and assisted us in arranging many activities. Responses were always prompt and thorough.”
Cabina Solar is a nice little cabin.Close to the beach on a private property. Were situated here on the Peninsula de Osa near Cabo Matapalo,a great place to se a variety of animals. We have plenty of activities such as surfing, horse back riding, hiking, and guided tours.
“A beautiful accommodation in the middle of the jungle. A new canopy was built which encourages sitting outside to watch hundreds of fireflies. Parrots on the almond and little monkeys on the lemon tree right by the accommodation. In the morning you are awakened by howler monkeys. Just awesome. The kitchen has everything to cook what it needs. Unfortunately, no shopping on site. 18 km back to Puerto Jiménez for shopping. Restaurants only 2 nearby. Take a mosquito net is highly recommended.”
Casa Madera offers a fabulous open-air living experience. The large front porch allows you to nap the day/evening away next to the plunge pool as you hang in your Yucatan hammmocks (up to four).
“Casa Madera is lovely home in Matapalo Beach area. Great location to relax on beach and 45 minutes to 1 hour drive to parking entrance to Corcovado National Park. Walking distance to Martina's restaurant/bar (check for opening hours/times of year). The house is well-equipped for most anything you will need (pool, wifi, basic kitchen supplies, washing machine). Do stock up at supermarket in Puerto Jimenez, as the 18 km drive from town is bumpy and takes 35+ minutes. All-wheel drive vehicle highly recommended. No cell service at home. You have to go a couple of kms down the road to get spotty reception. Rick was attentive host providing complete information before arrival. Erick greeted us at gate and was indispensable in connecting us with local guides and making us feel welcome. As previous guests have noted, we saw tons of wildlife just in yard. Be ready to be awaken early by antics of howler and spider monkeys. Steps to beaches. Walking distance to two waterfalls.”
