- You’ll learn about Bern in a nutshell, the history, local lifestyle and modern transformation of the city of Bern, in this private walking tour. During our 1-1 1/2 hour walk you will learn about Switzerland’s capital, learning about local politics and lifestyle. Our tour starts at Bern Bahnhof, learning about the history of the station as well as the Heiliggeistkirche, the church of the Holy Ghost. We will then walk through the old town of Bern stopping at the famous Bärenplatz and Bundeshaus. Following a brief history of Swiss government we continue on our way through town visiting other local attractions including the famous clock tower, Einstein’s apartment, and the Bern Cathedral the tallest cathedral in Switzerland.
