This detached, traditional farmhouse is full of old world charm with stone flagged floors, exposed beams, wood panelled walls and studded oak doors. The house, dating back to 1837, has been refurbished to a very high standard. The lake is across the road from the property boundary, so there are lake views from many rooms and from the large gardens and meadow. We have 4 luxurious double bedrooms, all ensuite, there is a beautiful kitchen and dining room, and an elegant drawing room. Close to Ambleside (centre of the Lake District), with easy access to other villages, the lakes, and the fells. On site parking. As good as it gets!

Beautiful totally refurbished cottage .

We live in the same village as the cottage so will be available if there are any problems or if you just need information on local area. The cottage has a private south facing garden 40 metres away with off road parking for 2 vehicles. Soutergate is 1 of 3 small hamlets in Kirkby which has 2 pubs a post office a small cafe plus the train station and bus stops also childrens play area all within walking distance from the cottage. (Guests have full control of the heating).
