Live the “simple” life on the Baltic: in a solar-powered workman’s hut. The idyllic hamlet of Klützer Winkel is 20 km east of Lübeck, Germany, 6 km west of Boltenhagen, and only ten minutes’ walk from the unspoiled Baltic coastline. Our natural refuge (3500 sq.m./over 37,000 sq.ft.) is nestled among hilly meadows, woodlands, beaches, and some nearby seaside cliffs. Our owner-run plot of land has many fruit trees and other trees, blackberry bushes and shrubs. Pristine meadows directly around the property are crisscrossed by narrow pathways. You can set up your own place to sit, and there is a central terrace with barbecue. Facing the south, the vintage workman’s hut (20 square meter/215 square feet) was converted into a cocoon of living space with virtually no environmental footprint. Its separate bedroom, kitchen and roomy living area are supplemented by a 14 square meter (150 square foot) veranda facing west. All the flooring is larch. All electricity is solar generated with water supply from on board tanks or at the nearby “bathhouse” on the same plot with its solar-powered shower. A wood-burning stove can be used in colder weather. Details: 12VDC power supply, intermittent 220V/80W power with converter, DVB-T TV, radio and DVD player, refrigerator, two-plate gas cooker, and sink. Since 2016 we got a supplementary nonsolar power supply i.e. to have a shower without sun. Plus we offer: Bicycle and bed linen rental (please confirm in advance), drawing and painting kits, arts and crafts equipment, beach utensils. Plus the chance to pick and process cherries, blackberries, pears, and apples (all according to the season and availability, for a small fee) Klützer Winkel also offers many leisure, cultural, and recreational opportunities.

Modern cottage in beautiful nature

Good location close to the beach, protected nature, forest and Løkken town. The plot is a 2580 m2 natural plot, where emphasis is placed on biodiversity with unique planting, which allows privacy and invites you to stay in different zones. There are wooden terraces to the south and east – there is also a covered terrace. It is a modern, stylish year-round house for the environmentally conscious, as there is geothermal heating and extra insulation, which significantly reduces electricity consumption and makes the house extremely CO2-friendly. There is underfloor heating everywhere.

At the Red Fox (Lejas Akmeņlauži)

The cottage is conveniently located between Cēsis, Sigulda and Līgatne, right next to Gauja National Park. The spacious property provides the privacy of a homestead. The cottage balcony offers a view of the Kumada River valley and forests. The boundary of the property at this location runs along the Kumada creek and consequently has free access and opportunities for nature walks. Trout live in the creek so sure the water is very clean. The cabin is surrounded by forests and a young adult, with fire pits in the yard, a volleyball court, and a hot tub available as well.

Reborn Cabins

A cabin for two to enjoy the nature and the nearby sea (900m walk from a sandy beach), located 28km from Riga, just outside of the town Saulkrasti. Wide windows to enjoy the scenic surroundings, and in the evenings you may choose to opt for our recreational options (at an additional fee) - an outdoor hot tub and a sauna (hot tub 60€, sauna 60€, sauna with traditional sauna whisks and a body scrub 80€). The place can be reached on foot from the nearby train station or bus stops, or by car.

Containerhuset

If you like beautiful wooded surroundings, this will suit you. The house is situated on a natural site, sheltered by tall trees and with fields in the background. The opposite road is about 400 meters to a small undisturbed beach. Have you tried to stay in a container house before? We built our beloved summer house in 2018 from three old shipping containers. The house is located like a cubist hobbit cave on a wild ground in the lovely, quiet Vesterløkken.

Cozy bungalow with garden by the Baltic Sea

Bungalow surrounded by a large garden in a very quiet location and 10 minutes by car to the beach (e.g. Lubmin) and to Greifswald. The bungalow consists of a living and sleeping room with double bed and sofa bed, a kitchen and a bathroom as well as a large terrace. The large garden has space for the little ones to play and the adults to rest. It is possible to take art classes for a fee during the stay. A studio is located on the premises.
