Surrounded by popular local restaurants in Nara, artisan gathering areas, internet-famous check-in photography streets, century-old shops, and many cultural monuments such as the West Shosoin, Nara Crafts Museum, Nara City Plaid House, Naramachi Story Museum, etc. It is only 950 meters from Nara Park Kasuga Taisha Ichinomiya. Todaiji Temple, Nara National Museum, Isuien Garden and other attractions are all within walking distance. The artworks displayed in the house are paintings by famous contemporary artists collected by the owner, and antique tea sets and ornaments. If you like them, you can contact the housekeeper to purchase them. Heating equipment in winter includes floor heating, 2 air conditioners, and 1 electric heater.

Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

In connection with the history of the Nara period, we have installed a Japanese-style sauna with low sliding doors that evokes the Nara period. In addition, we want families and groups of friends to feel the history of Nara, so we have secured a spacious living room and beds, equipped with semi-open-air baths in the guest rooms, and prepared drinks such as local sake "Haruka" and all necessary amenities included in the price. A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

Our guesthouse is located in the old town called Nara-machi. There used to be many traditional wooden townhouses known as Machiya. We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
