The house is very easy reachable via public transportation; the post-van is 5 minutes to go, with direct connection to St. Gallen (with an overall travel time of 30 minutes). The apartment itself is in the basement of an old Stickerhaus, that is an embroiderer house where once the famous embroidery of the region have been manufactured. We guarantee leisurely days in an unconventional place.

Small Paradise above the Walensee
A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

Welcome to Appenzellerland, in the valley of the Silvesterchläuse, in Urnäsch, an old house with a separate entrance, a nice place to sit, directly on the Urnäsch (stream) and the Postbus stop towards Schwägalp, the duplex apartment was renovated in the 1970s, with a small kitchen and a spacious living room to linger in, simple, quiet and cozy and good to know, in the other part of the house (private entrance) my parents live, but this does not affect you.
