Umieru shiro is a private inn built in a village overlooking a quiet cove. You can look out at the sea from the deck and listen to the sound of the waves.Up to 6 people (5 adults + 1 extra bed) can stay in a space wrapped in the warmth of wood.Great for families and friends. The first floor has a bright living room and kitchen, and the second floor has a bedroom and a bench by the window.Equipped with Wi-Fi, kitchen appliances, and a washer and dryer, it is recommended for long-term stays and workations. If you want to enjoy both sightseeing and accommodation, we recommend a stay of 2 nights or more. During the day, you can visit the Funaya (boathouses) of Ine and Amanohashidate, and in the evening, you can spend a quiet time at the inn, allowing you to experience the charm of this place more deeply. It is a convenient base for sightseeing, with Ine Funaya and Amanohashidate just 30 minutes away by car.Within walking distance, you can enjoy the highly transparent waters of Kotohikihama Beach and other walking spots, with different ways to spend your time depending on the season. Experience a 'living-like' trip in a place a little away from the bustling tourist spots.

A building where you can stay while feeling the region

A property that had been vacant for about 3 years in the "Kami-Miyazu" area, which boasts countryside scenery and is about a 10-minute drive from the center of Miyazu, was renovated into a private rental accommodation. It is 10 minutes to the sea, 15 minutes to Amanohashidate, and 45 minutes to Ine no Funaya. It is not a particularly beautiful facility, but you can spend a relaxing time unique to the area. Basically, we don't serve food, but if you'd like, you can book a breakfast onigiri set at the nearby onigiri cafe, which is limited to our facility (for a fee) We can also introduce you to local people, BBQ, harvesting experiences, e-bike tours in the area, and more. Please check with me in advanced. BBQ is also available for rent as a set for ¥2,200. (Chairs, stove, charcoal, lighter, from preparation to cleaning up) Food is not included. Please bring your own. We do not allow BBQs outside of rentals. In the garage, in addition to BBQ, you can do bicycle and motorcycle maintenance without getting wet from the rain. You can store it in a locked building, so you can travel around Tango with peace of mind. Parking is available right behind the facility.

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
