Complemented by a green roof, this design significantly reduces the need for air conditioning, keeping the interior 5-6°C cooler than a conventional house. Many of the materials used in the villa's construction have been sourced directly from the land itself, including locally quarried stone and native flora, along with high-quality natural elements such as marble and wood. A small, quiet 55 sqm house in the village of Lakkoi, at an altitude of 500 metres, with a traditional atmosphere, unobstructed views of the White Mountains of Crete, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room with a kitchen, which can accommodate 4 people and their pet. The sunrise strikes the courtyard and the windows of the house early in the morning and bathes it in light. 20 minutes from Samaria Gorge, 30 minutes from Chania and 60 minutes to Sougia in the Libyan Sea and 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket.

The Stone House in Aspro (North Side)

The Northern Stone House is a fully-equipped traditional cottage with a large outdoor yard, in the village of Aspro, Chania. It was built in the late 1800s and renovated in 2020 by myself and my father. Our goal was to create a space that is simple, serene and evocative of older times, yet is completely functional in the modern sense. It's located 2km away from the area's main village Almyrida, where you can find some basic stores, restaurants, as well as a couple of beautiful beaches.
