Built 20 meters into a hillside, the villa naturally harnesses air circulation, drawing in fresh Aegean breezes through large openings at the back of the structure. This architectural technique helps maintain a consistently cool indoor temperature throughout the day. Complemented by a green roof, this design significantly reduces the need for air conditioning, keeping the interior 5-6°C cooler than a conventional house. Additionally, the villa’s thoughtful layout enhances the feeling of absolute seclusion, making you feel completely immersed in nature. Many of the materials used in the villa's construction have been sourced directly from the land itself, including locally quarried stone and native flora, along with high-quality natural elements such as marble and wood. This thoughtful selection enhances the villa’s harmony with its surroundings while maintaining a luxurious feel. The villa’s unique architecture is designed to maximize its breathtaking setting, offering infinity pool views that blend seamlessly into the endless blue of the sea. A small, quiet 55 sqm house in the village of Lakkoi, at an altitude of 500 metres, with a traditional atmosphere, unobstructed views of the White Mountains of Crete, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room with a kitchen, which can accommodate 4 people and their pet. The sunrise strikes the courtyard and the windows of the house early in the morning and bathes it in light. 20 minutes from Samaria Gorge, 30 minutes from Chania and 60 minutes to Sougia in the Libyan Sea and 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket.

The outdoor space has private pool, garden, barbeque & parking, surrounded by greenery with breathtaking mountain views. Within 1 mile of the atmospheric Almyrida resort with beach & delightful taverns. Inside are 3 bedrooms, open plan kitchen/diner, 3 shower rooms. There is a sun terrace around the pool & on 1st floor off the master bedroom. The nearest airport is Chania International, 19 miles away.

The Stone House in Aspro (South Side)

The Southern Stone House is a fully-equipped traditional cottage with a spacious innter yard, in the village of Aspro, Chania. It was built in the late 1800s and renovated in 2020 by myself and my father. Our goal was to create a space that is simple, serene and evocative of older times, yet is completely functional in the modern sense. It's located 2km away from the area's main village Almyrida, where you can find some basic stores, restaurants, as well as a couple of beautiful beaches.

Vraskos villa - free heated pool for low season

The villa enjoys a unique rural location set on a spacious private plot. A small pebble beach can be reached following a wild, stony path. In 2026 we are expanding the property with a new building that will allow us to host larger groups in the future. The structure is currently unfinished, and all construction work has been suspended for the season to ensure a quiet and relaxing stay for our guests.
