Welcome to our old farmhouse, of which a part of the former stable has been transformed into an atmospheric B&B. Particularly furnished with a lot of art on the wall and a well-stocked bookcase. You have a private entrance with cozy living room, bedroom and private shower/toilet. There is television, with Netflix and You Tube. AN EXTENSIVE BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED. The b and b is located separately and closed off from the main house. Private entrance, private bedroom and private bathroom. There is one b and b space.

The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the terpkerk of Wanswert. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we used second chance furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood stove, a nice living climate is created. The apartment has a cozy private garden all around, a private front door and lots of privacy.

Tiny House “Sleeping on the Lytse Geast”

At the end of 2023, we converted our cozy B&B into an apartment that is equipped with all comforts. And we speak from experience because during the renovation of our own house, we lived in it ourselves! 🏡 Also check out our w e b s i t e ! The residence is located in a rural area, but also close to Leeuwarden and Dokkum. The perfect base for hiking and cycling. Your four-legged friend is welcome! 🐾 For the first day you can order a luxury DIY breakfast for €17.50 (2 people).

A hidden gem in Friesland

The Werkmanshuisje is an idyllic, atmospheric, restored workers' house next to the striking mill De Zwaluw. Modern and cozily furnished with all comforts. In the water village of Burdaard, on the famous Eleven Cities route and in the World Heritage Wadden area. Enjoy peace, space and nature in the large garden with a covered private terrace. The cottage is perfect for 2 people who want to relax and explore Friesland. National Parks and cities such as Leeuwarden and Dokkum nearby.

Logement Smederij Sterk

Logement “Smederij Sterk” is located in the old townsmithy of J. Strong. The monumental building dates back to 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station. The accommodation has its own entrance, a living room with its own kitchen, a bedroom and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. The accommodation has a view of and adjacent to a beautiful square where you can also sit outside.

Idyllic cottage by the river

The 300 year old, cozy house is right on the river Dokkumer Ee in a friendly neighborhood. From the terrace (also usable as a parking space) you can see ships passing by. You can visit the mill and buy groceries from the baker around the corner. There is a small local museum, refreshments and a flower shop. The cities of Dokkum and Leeuwarden are easily accessible, as are the Wadden Sea coast and the ferry ports to the islands of Ameland and Schiermonikoog.

Leeuwarden is 'by far' the prettiest city of the Netherlands! And it's only a 3 minutes walk to the city center. This 100 year old, cute house is located in the peaceful and quiet Vossenparkwijk. The 2 city parks Prinsentuin and Vossenpark are around the corner and you can almost see the famous Tower of the Oldenhove from the garden. Relax in the backyard with a cup of tea or go out for dinner in one of the very good restaurants in the city! Enjoy!

The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.

Tinyhouse Stilte aan het Water Geniet van rust en natuur in ons sfeervolle tinyhouse aan het water in Stiens. Met eigen ingang, privacy en uitzicht over het water. Perfect om te suppen, vissen of zwemmen. Extra’s: ontbijt, huur van sups en e-bikes. Nabij Leeuwarden en Holwerd (veerboot Ameland). Fiets- en wandelroutes starten bij de achtertuin. In het weekend serveren wij (tegen betaling) een ontbijt, door de week alleen in overleg.

Hidden place near the center of Leeuwarden

Hidden in the Leeuwarden district of Huizum, lies the former kindergarten "Boartlik Begjin". At the end of the Ludolf Bakhuizenstraat, lies this special quiet place, within walking distance of the city center and the train station. A nice base to go into the city, shop or visit one of the museums. And also to discover the rest of Friesland. The room is also suitable as a home office (WiFi available).

Buorkerijhûske A – Between Wad and Weide

Ervaar het pure Friese buitenleven in ons knusse, goed geïsoleerde tiny house naast onze melkveehouderij in Hallum. Word wakker met het geluid van vogels en uitzicht over de weilanden. Het huisje heeft een eigen oprit en parkeerplek en biedt volop rust en privacy. Gelegen tussen Dokkum en Leeuwarden, vlak bij de Waddenzee – ideaal voor fietsers, wandelaars en liefhebbers van het landelijke leven.
