There are several attractions nearby and the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities. You can also easily visit Sweden, which can be reached via the Aavasaksa bridge.

A brand new wooden holiday house isituated in small village 60km from Rovaniemi and 40km from the Swedish border. There is a big lake close to the cottage, pineforest and cross country skiing & hiking possibilities. The house is well equipped and modern. This is a good holiday house for families with children. There are two bedrooms, a balcony for sleeping, living room with one bed, sofas, dining table and kitchen, bathroom and sauna. You will see reindeer sometimes close to the house.

You can see Torne river and hear the rapids.

Our cottage is conveniently located along well-maintained roads, making it easily accessible. Situated near the river, the Swedish border is just across the water, allowing for a seamless journey into Sweden, perhaps via the ice road. The absence of unnecessary lights around provides the perfect setting for observing the Northern Lights. Unique and relaxing accommodation with views of the Torne River. A cozy cottage of about 50 sqm and the perfect place to relax with friends or family. The cottage offers a sauna and is an excellent choice for travelers interested in nature experiences and nearby activities such as skiing and fishing with access to a boat. The cottage is located 14 km south of the Arctic Circle in a small village. Distance to Rovaniemi Airport is 96 km and to Luleå Airport 124 km.

The boat shore and Ylitornio's fine sandy beaches are only about 1 km away. Ainiovaara's magnificent skiing and outdoor areas are located nearby. The Aavasaksa ski slopes are about 15 km away.

Take a break and unwind in this peaceful setting. Karin's apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with two single beds and the family room has a double sofa bed. There is also a toilet with shower and a patio where you can enjoy the view of the Kalix River, which is about 40 meters from the apartment. New for summer 2026! Now there is the possibility to rent an electric bike.
