Ideally located in a quiet residential street 5 minutes walk from York Minster and the hustle and bustle of the city centre with its museums, fine restaurant dining and shopping. Eight minutes walk from York train station. With an eye for the unusual and attention to detail Royal College of Art graduates David and Anita have created the perfect, dreamy get-away. The apartment has been selected by Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay' (the first in York). This spacious apartment has been lovingly restored and styled by its artist owners and features their original artworks (paintings/lights). The apartment has solid oak flooring, antique Persian rugs and a combination of period French and contemporary designer furniture which contributes to the apartment's special character. A stunning set of 18th century chateau doors divide the living and bedrooms and provide the 'wow factor' of this charming find. A welcome basket of Prosecco or red or white wine and olives as well as breakfast provisions to be found in the kitchen; Artisan bread, butter, preserves, cereals, milk, free-range eggs, fresh fruit juice, Marmite, Betty's/Yorkshire tea and ground coffee. *FREE WI-FI* and *FREE PARKING*. Help with luggage. The living room with its linen covered antique chesterfield sofa, large format art books, 42" Smart HD TV with Freeview, DVD player, Bose Bluetooth sound system is perfect for a cosy night in. Wet-room style bathroom with walk-in shower, heated towel rail, underfloor heating and plenty of white fluffy towels (shower gel and shampoo etc.) The kitchen - reclaimed slate work-tops, Victorian tiled floor. Induction hob, oven, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster etc. Washer-dryer, steam iron and ironing board. Ring front door bell marked 'Evagora-Campbell' and David or Anita will give you a key and show you around the apartment. The apartment is within our family house but completely private with its own entrance. Your hosts are on hand, though, for advice on local attractions, restaurants and places to visit for day trips. 'Atelier 22 York' is situated in York's 'Cultural Quarter', a few minutes walk from the Yorkshire Museum, the Theatre Royal, York Art Gallery and the Minster. The city's top eateries are a stone's throw away : Roots, The Star Inn The City, Betty's, Skosh, Partisan, Le Cochon Aveugle, as well as numerous pubs and bars; a gentle stroll back home at night. The beautifully restored medieval buildings of Stonegate and the Shambles provide the perfect setting for some last minute shopping. York's many attractions, including The Minster, Yorkshire Museum and Gardens, Treasures House, Fairfax House, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, City Walls, Theatre Royal, City Screen Cinema, Betty's famous Tea Rooms are all 5-10 minutes walk away as well as beautiful riverside walks and restaurants, pubs and bars too numerous to mention. So a car taxi/bus is not a necessity at all. A walk through the tranquil Museum Gardens, a couple of minutes away, past the medieval ruins of St. Marys Abbey and the restored 3rd century Roman Multangular tower brings you into the pedestrianised heart of the city. York station (with coach stops for excursions to Whitby, Castle Howard, Fountain's Abbey and the coast) 8 minutes walk. Cycle hire from 'Cycle Heaven' also at York Station. There are 13 outdoor steps to the apartment.

A truly delightful apartment aptly named due to it's panaromic views out to sea, the abbey and the whole East of the town. This beautiful apartment just minutes away on foot from the many amenities and attractions Whitby has to offer. Carefully renovated, it has beautiful features - the most eye catching being the wonderful arched fireplace. Skylights fill each room with natural light, making this a welcoming home from home. Perfect for a romantic break away with a bird’s eye view of the town.

The Porthole, independent seaside accommodation with its own entrance, private parking, a beautiful garden with unrivaled views over the beach and sea towards Whitby Abbey. No neighbours, no roads, no noise. Stay in the peace of Sandsend with its restaurants, cafes, great pub and quaint shops or walk along the beach to historic Whitby. Sleights village is a gem of a village just on the outskirts of Whitby and at the foothills of the North York Moors. For those who enjoy a stroll, Whitby is an hours walk away. You will stay in a airy bright and beautifully converted self contained studio which has its own entrance and is part of a large Victorian Villa. Guests will enjoy the privacy of the Hideaway with their own outside area. They can relax on the luxury Simba mattress that promises a good nights rest after a busy day.

Swingbridge View - 2 Bed in the Heart of Whitby

Swingbridge View apartment is in a Grade II listed building located on Sandgate in the heart of Whitby right by the famous swingbridge. Accommodation is all on one floor (first floor) with amazing views from the lounge windows of the River Esk harbour, the swingbridge and the west cliff. Parking is available a few hundred yards away from around £6 a day with a pass from the tourist office or £9 a day at the ticket machine.

A Fabulous spacious romantic getaway centrally located in one of Whitby's liveliest areas. We've recently renovated our apartment to an extremely high standard. Features such as Hive central heating, shower , en suite bedroom with freestanding bath, smart TV (Netflix & BT sports included) will make your stay very comfortable. Directly outside are bars,restaurants,shops and tearooms . All available on Flowergate.
