We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. ゆっくりお過ごしいただきたいので、チェックアウトを14時までに設定させていただいております。 川と川が合流する石垣の上にあり、木々に囲まれた敷地にある古民家の中をリノベーションした、素泊まり一軒宿となっております。 見える範囲に建物はなく、川の音、鳥の鳴き声、自然との一体感をお楽しみいただけ、水道も湧水(水質検査済)となっております。 季節によって、川遊びや、かっぱ滝を目指して、宿の横の川を行き交う方々もいらっしゃいます。 お天気が良ければ、川遊びはもちろん、ご持参いただいた食材でBBQや焚き火(季節や天候次第ではご遠慮いただく事もあります)などもお楽しみいただけます。 (火の取り扱いには充分お気をつけください。) 調理器具、レンジ、食器類も備えておりますので、ご安心ください。 川沿いの散歩道を上流に進むと、150m程先に「かっぱ滝」もございます。 夕食等の飲食物は、チェックイン前にぜひご用意ください。(スーパーまで車で約20分かかります) 宿まで400mの区間のみ狭く分かりづらい為、 「camuつばき山」までお越しいただけましたら、私達がご案内させていただきます。
