There are also beautiful coastal and river walks within the area where you may be able to catch sight of whales, dolphins, puffins and many other animals.

If you enjoy stargazing you’ll love it here on clear nights as there is no light pollution - and if you’re staying in winter you may be lucky enough to see the northern lights.

Firthview is located in a peaceful area from which to base yourself for an active holiday or relaxing retreat. Located just off the NC500 route in was completely refurbished in 2021. It sleeps 4 people and is available to rent all year round. This coastal cottage is part of a traditional croft-based smallholding in Caithness with views of the Pentland Firth, Orkney Islands and surrounding countryside.
