Perfect for fishing, hunting, hiking or just enjoying the view. Great for work crews with room to park a utility trailer. 16 miles from SIU.

The tranquil sound of the water fountain sets the mood for Shady Rest. (removed during winter) Unwind in the therapeutic hot tub. (open all year long) Watch the 12 ft. windmill twirl as it catches the wind. Resident ducks will provide fun entertainment. End the day with a night fire around the fire pit. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

The Potel Tiny Home 14x40

Tiny home nestled on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest. A cozy one bedroom with full closet and stacked washer and dryer the bed is a full size. Kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave. It does not have a dishwasher. Living room has a smart TV sign in to your Netflix, Sling, YouTube TV etc. Wi-fi provided. No cable. Full bathroom with shower unit. Some of our guest has said sitting on the porch watching the beautiful sunsets each night was an added bonus for staying with us.

Grandma’s House

Your home away from home back home has all the comforts of grandma’s house. You’ll be right down the street from your parents, the football game, your Uncle’s deer stand, & just minutes from Dixie Cream Donuts for some quick nostalgia. Two full beds, one bath with a walk-in shower, & large living room windows so you can gaze out at the streets you grew up on over your morning coffee.
