Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Provence, air-con house, 18x5m swimming pool

In an enchanting setting, very quiet with views of Mont Ventoux and Dentelles de Montmirail. The former stables of the winegrowing estate have been renovated in keeping with the beautiful original volumes: large bay windows, very bright interior, careful decoration, a successful blend of contemporary and old. The 18mx5 swimming pool. 35 mn from Avignon, 15mn from Vaison-la-Romaine, the house is in the heart of the estate, surrounded by a 12 ha vineyard, close to a village renowned for its wines.

Charming semi-troglodyte Provençal mas

At the end of a hamlet, Boa Vista is a bright semi-troglodyte shepherd’s cottage: stone, wood, terracotta tiles… and rock right into the bathroom. A green haven with total peace, a sheltered terrace and a wraparound balcony. In summer: private above-ground pool and outdoor shower. Naturally cool in summer, cosy by the wood stove in winter.
