The village is located between three important points: Spain (5 minutes), Bragança (12 minutes) and Miranda do Douro (25 minutes). In this place, it is possible to recharge, where the only noise is that of Nature. Possibility of being Trasmontano, getting to know its gastronomy and even being able to cook our dishes and products, Bread, Jams, Sausages and the many traditional dishes made in the Pot. Take the Bike and get to Spain in 10 minutes, as well as a Basilica in 5 minutes and a Roman Bridge.

This place is our sacred go-to spot when we want to get out of the city and immerse ourselves in nature. This place has special significance for our family because it was here that as a child, we would spend whole days watching over the cows, reading and dreaming as the sun moved across the sky towards dusk. We have recently completed renovations, adding solar & central heating and we would love to share it with people who are looking for a unique experience in an unexplored region of Portugal.

Overlooking Serra da Nogueira, Recanto da Encosta is a Local Accommodation house, 18 km from Bragança. With the interior space remodeled, but keeping the exterior facades, it has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Pilgrims walk by our building in their way to Santiago de Compostela. There is a park across the street. Every Wednesday and Saturday a traditional street market invades the surroundings.
