Great starting point to reach the remote hills of Freita, where you can enjoy long hikes, river baths or simply visit the geological and archaeological sites of Arouca Geopark. Casa da Oliveira (Casa das Oliveiras-G. Maps) is close to the village of Mesão-Frio (+/- 2 km), the gateway to Douro Vinhateiro. An old house, prior to 1950, was restored and maintains some of the original stone walls. It has 1 bedroom, a toilet, a living room with a sofa bed and an equipped kitchen, AC, TV, Wi-Fi and a barbecue grill outside. The views are magnificent over the region's vineyards and the Douro River. Excellent choice for a few days of rest, a week or a weekend.

This is a unique space, with stunning views of the waterfall and surrounding nature. Ideal for a weekend of adventure! Come prepared for poor cellular network and slow Wi-Fi, as the location is isolated. On the other hand, the sound of nature takes on a fantastic dimension, with the river water and birds surrounding us completely. Access is made (in the last 500 meters) by land and it is necessary to pay attention to the directions we provide so that you do not get lost.

The studio is part of the large authentic private house of the Dutch owners, located in Provesende, a traditional and, for several years, protected wine village in the heart of the Douro Valley. UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the house are three studios with their own entrance and two rooms. The garden and swimming pool are for communal use.
