Nostalgia

A charming house from the 1800s with a great atmosphere. The property is beautifully located by the lake overlooking Ålesund and Sunnmørsalpene. Only 15 min by car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there is cultivated land with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a marble church from the Middle Ages, beaches, untouched nature and bird life. The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

The caravan is idyllically located with a great view. 10 minutes by car from Ålesund town centre, 13–16 minutes by bus. Free parking. 1/2 minute's walk to the fjord, where water sports enthusiasts can rent rowing boats and SUP boards. Feel free to cycle/walk to Atlanterhavsparken, Tueneset with its beach, trails, gazebos and bonfire area, as well as World War II bunkers. You can walk up to Sugarloaf from here. Enjoy the wonderful view from this idyllic storehouse located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The storage room is over a century old, but has been renovated. NOTE: The storage room has electricity, but not running water or a toilet. Guests can use shower and toilet in the main house which is 30 m away. The bathroom in the main house is only used by you guests and access to the rest of the main house is closed off. There is 5 gallons of water available in the fridge. Recently renovated, fully equipped with a lovely veranda and nature right outside the door. Guests may also rent our boathouse with SUP boards, fishing gear and a fire pan. Shops, restaurants and Moa shopping mall are only a few minutes away. Free parking, and EV charging may be available by arrangement (additional fee)

Our place is close to Ålesund Airport. Ålesund airport. Great nature. Rural and quiet. Yet only 20 min. by car to Ålesund city center. My place is good for couples, lone travelers, and business travelers. Can also be suitable for a small family. (Extra mattresses). We can also assist with transportation to/from the airport in the late afternoon/evening. There is a 24-HOUR (Monday-Saturday) grocery store 2 km from the rental. Joker Vikane. We live on a fantastic island,in a big house and we give for a rent 3 rooms with a separate entrance. Our house is in 10 min distance from the airport with car . In 15 min there is an amazing beach where you can go for a walk, there is also a supermarket in 10 min walking. If you will choose public transport, there is a bus stop in front of our house.
