Beautiful country dream on a plain near Skara summerland

A wonderful villa with a lot of original details from the turn of the century (built in 1910) located in a rural setting. The house has withdrawn hot water for the kitchen. There are toilet and garden shower. Right in the heart of Västergötland with all the historical sights around as well as close to Skara summerland. A stone's throw away is beautiful Lake Vänern and Läckö Castle. If you want to get to the nearest city, Lidköping is 1.5 miles away. A small swimming lake is available in the village as well as a smaller shop. The train stops within walking distance.

Country cottage

Do you want to get out into the countryside with a fantastic view of fields where you can see both deer, hares and other wild life strolling around and grazing? The apartment is above the garage in the courtyard and has an open plan where the kitchen living room and hallway are in the same room, bedroom as well as a terrace. The farm is located about 10 minutes from Vara where there is a station, concert hall, bathhouse with adventure part as well as local shops and much more. On the property there are also our two horses, two small dogs and two cats.

The back house at the edge of the forest

At the edge of the forest is the small backstugan. The red cottage is surrounded by garden and shading trees. This is where you live the simple life. The cottage is small and cozy. A pull-out daybed provides nice rest at night (sheets are not included, but available for rent) . Shower and sink are inside the cottage. The outhouse, which is a maximum of 50 meters away, may be shared with neighbors. Tile oven with small barbecue grill. Barbecue outside. Skara, Vara, Lidköping, Kinnekulle, Falköping and Skövde are all within a reasonable distance

Rural idyll with amenities!

Do you want to come to the peace and quiet in the middle of nature? A rural idyll of about 90 sqm, detached property with kitchen, bathroom, living room, three bedrooms and conservatory and balcony. There is a possibility to rent a hot tub for an additional cost. On the farm, we also run a restaurant with various events during the summer. Log cabin by tiny farm in the middle of a forest!

Storstugan + Servicehuset at Borrabo, is an unique accommodation in the middle of a permaculture garden, in the middle of the forest. Here you live without neighbors, undisturbed in nature, but still close to the beautiful Falbygden with many interesting excursion destinations. If you want to swim in the summer, there are two bathing spots, each about 12 km away. Around Borrabo you can take long forest walks on narrow forest roads and paths. Food store 12 km away in Floby, well equipped!

In the countryside feeling with day trip distance to Skara summerland, the Hindu reef in Lake Vänern or any of the plateau mountains. Other excursions are Ålleberg with beautiful views and glider museum, Conditori North Pole(a must for those who like “swedish fika”) or the bird life of Hornborgasjön. Welcome!

The stay here is described by guests as fantastic, beautiful and soothing. You live close to nature with the opportunity to both sunbathe on the private veranda, swim in the lake, borrow the boats for a fishing trip or rent kayaks. Travel back in time in our village home! The house is decorated with furniture and objects from the past, all of them sourced during years of searching for things at sales and auctions. Grandpa Olle started the journey of collecting vintage objects – we have now used them to decorate the house. Find toys from the 50s, vintage maps, old-school kitchenware and travel guides from bygone eras. Welcome home to the past!
