Amazing value, comfortable and clean!

Great location—quiet community within walking distance of the beach, with a nice pool and tennis courts. Also walkable to good restaurants and coffee. The hosts were friendly and very responsive.

I rated 4/5 because of cleanliness and pests. We encountered indoor ants throughout our stay (others have noted this in their reviews), and the downstairs carpet and a few rooms were slightly unclean. We did a deeper clean when we arrived and were frequently dealing with a large number of ants throughout the ground floor of the house, which became a serious nuisance with our young children.

One heads-up: sheets and towels are not provided, as fairly disclosed in the post. Supplying linens for six beds and three baths is a heavy lift for travelers; offering them would significantly improve the experience.

We really enjoyed staying at David's place. The community is quiet, and the kitchen was well stocked. It was a short trip to the beach by car or bike, and the two Bethany Beach parking passes David provided were key to being able to park close to the beach (and at no cost).

Our only real knock on the place was that the two bikes in the listing were not available to use (one was offsite, and the other one was unusable due to a non-functioning brake and a chain that kept skipping).

David's place was in a nice location, next to everything you could need. Close to restaurants. Grocery. The beach. There were some issues with the unit though.

Ants in the kitchen. There were ants traps everywhere but still they were an issue. We had to kill many and ensure we sprayed down every counter and drawer.

The main bedroom bed is very soft and uncomfortable. There's no support. So woke up every day hurting. This bed needs replaced.

The place was an ok value. But feel for the money, nicer places can be had in the area. Not sure id book again for our yearly trip to Bethany.
