Excellent morning with Douglas doing deep exploration of the fascinating historic, religious, civil and philosophical cross-currents of French history to the present.

I had the best afternoon with Douglas! He was very professional and knowledgeable. I’m now inspired to read books by all the authors, write my own stories, and move to Paris! 🇫🇷❤️

From the moment my husband and I sat down with Douglas at La Contrescarpe, we knew he was extremely knowledgeable in the literary history of the Latin Quarter. The pleasant surprise was the way he organized the information. Douglas handed both of us a timeline of the the history of the area accompanied with pictures. He answered all of the questions we raised. And then, he took us on a walking tour pointing out various authors homes and haunts. The information was presented in an thorough, cohesive and entertaining way. The very pleasant surprise was the Douglas was not only familiar with the local geography of the authors, he was also well-versed in their literary works and capable of discussing them at length.

This is a not-to-be-missed tour.

We spent a wonderful morning with Douglas walking around the Latin Quarter and hearing about the history of the area and the people who lived there. Douglas' wide-ranging knowledge was really impressive. He was warm and responsive and great company. Highly recommended.
