Ideal couples base for exploring the Island

No 1 Shedock Cottage has been completely renovated inside and out, originally a shepherds cottage it is now a very modern living space. The entrance leads into the living room with a kitchen extension to the rear this follows onto a private sitting area outside at the back of the cottage. The bedroom has a double bed with fitted wardrobe. There is a bath and shower in the bathroom next to the bedroom. Heating throughout the cottage is electric with flame effect fire in the living room.

Breathe in the cool, clean air of the tranquil, rewilded space around Shepherd's Cottage on the stunning Isle of Arran. Sitting on the edge of the mystical and atmospheric Machrie Moor, this part of the island is a naturalist's paradise with seals, dolphins, otters, and birds of prey to be seen. Wild swim in nearby Machrie Bay (10 minutes drive) or in the pools of the Machrie Water which flows nearby. A bus service (322) passes the end of our road, 15 minutes walk away.

Tarsuinn, a charming and traditional cottage

Tarsuinn cottage is in an elevated location with spectacular views over the Shiskine valley surrounded by farmland. There is a small fenced garden to the side of the cottage with a bench in a very sunny spot. To the rear there is a farmyard belonging to the neighbouring farm, which is mostly a sheep farm and not too busy. Just a 5 minutes long walk away you can find the Bellevue farm and enjoy a guided tour and lots of animals, even Alpacas.
